For a late harvest wine, this is barely sweet enough to qualify as a dessert wine, and that's a good thing. Ripe cassis and blackberry aromas meet with thyme and pepper on the nose, while the palate shows fresh but hearty boysenberry and light white-pepper flavors. MATT KETTMANN
